01. Lil Wayne and Static Major - Lollipop
02. Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
03. Coldplay - Viva La Vida
04. Rihanna - Take A Bow
05. Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl
06. Usher and Young Jeezy - Love In This Club
07. Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown - No Air
08. Ray J and Yung Berg - Sexy Can I
09. David Cook - The Time Of My Life
10. Madonna and Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes
11. Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful Of Sunshine
12. Danity Kane - Damaged
13. Lil Wayne and T-Pain - Got Money
14. Plies and Ne-Yo - Bust It Baby (part 2)
15. Jesse Mccartney - Leavin'

Only 3 out of the 11 songs of David Cook remain in the Hot 100 this week.  These are:  "Time of My Life" (# 9), "Dream Big" (# 81, biggest dropper of week from # 15) and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" (# 85).  The rest drop out, so with all of the David Archuleta songs.  I do hope "Time" gains in airplay some more, but realistically it seems it will dall out of the Top 10 next week.

Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" is really doing very strong, both in airplay and download sales, well and above "Bleeding Love."
Aside from # 1, Lil Wayne also gets the Hot Shot Debut of the week with "Got Money" at # 13.  This one features T-PainIt seems we will be seeing "Lollipop" stay on top for some time.

The first main contender is "Viva La Vida" from Coldplay, which this week reaches the Top 3.  While this makes "Viva" the highest ranked Coldplay single ever, poor airplay stats may not propel it all the way to the top.

The second main contender is "I Kissed A Girl" from 23 year old American singer Katy Perry.  I found this jaunty tune very good pop music.  Title reminds me of a Jill Sobule song, but this one is different.  This goes up big, from #21 all the way to # 5.  Further gains in airplay will push it higher up.

The Greatest Gainer honor goes to "Teenage Love Affair" by Alicia Keys.  This track was the one which got my immediate attention when I first heard her excellent "As I Am" album last year.  I love the passion in her voice as she sings about "a matter of extreme importance."  This song goes up 89 to 66 on its 4th week in this chart.

Week #50 already!  Alicia Keys holds at Number 1 for a third week.  Not much change again in the Top 15 as is typical during the year-end period over the past years.

There are some notable big movers elsewhere in the chart though.

Justin Timberlake jumps to #17 from #33 with his duet with Beyonce "Until the End of Time."  He does this on the song's 22nd week due to the availability of digital downloads.  This is already Justin's 6th Top 20 hit from his latest album
"FutureSex/LoveSounds".  The last man who did this chart feat was George Michael on his "Faith" album back in the late 80s.  George, though, had 6 Top 5 hits from that album (4 of which reached #1).

Alicia Keys' second single from her latest album (which is fantastic, by the way!) "Like You'll Never See Me Again" jumps from #46 to #29 on its 4th week.  It is the Greatest Gainer in Airplay this week.

The embattled Britney Spears gains the Greatest Gainer in Sales honors this week as it jumps from #63 to #47 with her latest single "Piece of Me."  This is another single driven by its catchy bass line.  Britney's delivery is strangely monotonal.  But the whole package is very good, in my opinion.  I turn up the volume when I catch it on the car radio.  As a interesting tidbit, it does include the word "Philippines" in its lyrics.  Did she really come here as it suggests in the song?  Or I guess it is the only place name that can decently rhyme with seventeen, scene and magazine.

Yahoo!  Alicia Keys makes it to Number 1 of the Hot 100 this week.
"No One" spends its sixth week on top of the R&B Charts as well.  Ms. Keys also debuts her new album "As I Am" at Number 1 on the Billboard 200, selling an impressive 742,000 copies.  All four of her albums have debuted at Number 1 since her first time out "Songs in A Minor," back in 2001.

Fergie's "Clumsy" makes it into the Top 10.  This is her fifth Top 10 hit from her debut album "The Dutchess".  The other four had been "London Bridge" (#1), "Fergalicious" (#2), "Glamorous" (#1), and "Big Girls Don't Cry" (#1).  The last female artist who did this was Paula Abdul with her "Forever Your Girl" album back in the late 80s.
